World Parrot Day

The family Psittacidae, commonly known as parrots, macaws, parakeets, parrotlets, and parrotfish, are part of the biodiversity of ecosystems.

41 parrots return home!

More than half of these parrots were recovered from illegal trafficking, abandoned, starved, dehydrated and physically abused. They were rescued by the authorities in the company of ARCAS.

Experience the many rewards of being a supporting member of ARCAS!!!

Being a non-profit association, ARCAS depends on donations from foundations, companies and friends around the world. We are trying to expand its membership base of concerned animal-lovers around the world willing to help us with a monthly or annual contribution.

ARCAS is a non-profit Guatemalan Civil Association formed in 1989 by a group of Guatemalan citizens who became concerned as they saw their precious natural heritage – especially their wildlife – rapidly disappearing before their eyes.
