Do not disturb the crocodiles, they are in their habitat

A reptile commonly known as the Morelet’s crocodile, scientifically named Crocodylus moreletii, was rescued by CONAP Petén personnel after residents of El Remate in Flores, Petén, captured it out of collective fear. The institution’s staff intervened to prevent harm or death to the wild specimen.

World Water Day at Yaxha – Nakum – Naranjo National Park

Put Your Drop of Water! was the theme of the event held at Yaxha – Nakum – Naranjo National Park. This activity aimed to raise awareness among primary and secondary school students. In addition to students, parents, teachers, and tour guides attended, with approximately 1,000 people participating.

41 parrots return home!

More than half of these parrots were recovered from illegal trafficking, abandoned, starved, dehydrated and physically abused. They were rescued by the authorities in the company of ARCAS.
